6 Months Down...

As of Thursday, I am six months pregnant!  Just a few more months until our lives change drastically!  I finally made my first purchase for the nursery...a painted armoire!  The nursery does not have a closet in it, so we needed an armoire to hang and store some clothes.  I found this one adorable!  I think we will definitely get our money's worth out of it!

Flashback to the early 90's...

Although these are a little out there, I'm actually kind of feeling this late 80's/early 90's trend making it's way back onto the runway -- colored skinny jeans...Like!

Shark Week

I have been absent in my posts this week due to a few things :

  • The extreme heat wave in Tuscaloosa is making it difficult to do pretty much anything other than sleep,
  • I'm pregnant - enough said,
  • And for one week out of the year, Rad and I do not fight over the remote and what horrid TV show to watch because it is SHARK WEEK!
Are you scared of what's lurking beneath your feet in the water?  Enjoy your last few weeks of summer at the beach! Right?!?

Is it Fall already?

If I were not pregnant and I had access to a little more disposable income, I would snatch up this adorable fall outfit.  I have never been a huge fan of orange, but it is slowly making it's way into my wardrobe.  My "to die for" piece is the Thakoon Cape Jacket in red leopard print.  I would pair it with some skinny jeans, cognac leather boots, a neutral blouse, and some gold jewelry -- perfect for dinner and drinks with the girls or a chilly, night football game!  Perfect fall outfit!

Christmas In July...

As we all know, Baby Boy Pruett will be here first of December!  I decided I might try and get a Holiday outfit he could wear to one of the many family events or visits that will happen soon after his arrival!  Christmas is a favorite of mine and I know, even if I am exhausted, I will still want to join in on the family activities, parties, and such!  He will definitely need an outfit as good looking as the stud himself!  Shrimp and Grits Kids has adorable smocked outfits, which we will definitely be sporting in about 4 short months!  This is the unisex snowflake daygown.  I found it too precious to pass up!

Dream Nursery

If I could design my ideal nursery with unlimited funds, this would be it!  It is perfect, in my opinion! And, in this crib, will there be a little boy or a little girl?  We find out Wednesday and I can barely contain my excitement!  After Wednesday, let the purchases begin!  Boy or Girl?? What do you think?

A Maternity Must-Have

After a few weeks wavering back and forth about maternity clothes, I decided to bite the bullet and buy something.  I figured a pair of skinny jeans would be best, preferably black so I can pretend they are dress pants that way I can still wear them to work!  Let me just say--These are PHENOMENAL!  I ordered two sizes up just so I wouldn't have make mine or Rad's life harder as this baby grows!  I do not plan on retiring these after the baby is born either...They are as elastic as leggings but fit just like jeans!  I highly recommend these Citizens of Humanity Avedon Skinny Jeans for any expecting moms out there.  I found mine at Shopbop.com under the maternity section.  They are a little pricey, but the comfort is worth it!!

Pastimes of the Rich and Famous...

Well, maybe not the Rich and Famous...more like your average Joes!  A little offshore fishing in the Gulf was a little icing on the cake to a perfect week at the beach.  The boys (Rad, my brother Date, and my dad) brought home enough Redfish to feed a small army.  We had fried Redfish for our last meal down on the Gulf.  I return to the real world in Tuscaloosa a little depressed...I seriously miss having summers off, I am tempted to change professions to reap the benefits of swimming pools, traveling, and enjoying a nice book or two.  Maybe one day...

Seriously Jurors??

How can the entire country know Casey Anthony is guilty but these 12 jurors can unanimously decide she is NOT guilty in 10 hours of deliberation?  Were we not watching the same trial?  Her parents know she did it and now they will have to deal with the wrath of Casey, possibly as early as tomorrow.  I wish I could get the last 8 weeks of my life back that I wasted thinking this is a no-brainer, home-run case for the Prosecution, knowing Justice will be served.  Guess not!

Ok, I caved to the Blogging world!

It's official, I've decided to start a blog!  This first post is solely dedicated to America!  We'll keep this short and sweet...I will celebrate the 4th of July with my family in Gulf Shores, AL.  We have a week of absolutely nothing planned and it is going to be fantastic!  Hope everyone has a wonderful, long weekend and God Bless America!
